Mt. Pinatubo:

We rented a Cessna, single engine aircraft at Clark Airforce base, (which is now a private airport) on June 15 to tour Mount Pinatubo at 5,000 feet. The weather was so clear we were able to ascend all the way up to the crater. Unfortunately, we could not fly over the crater because it bore extensive cloud cover. But we were able to view the crater from the slopes of the mountain at our peak altitude. The view was beyond spectacular. The pictures could never do justice to the awesome, majestic panarama from the cockpit. Adventures in the Philippines.
