Corrigidor Island:

Corrigidor Island was a stronghold for the American and Philippines troops that fought side by side, defending the Philippines against Japanese invasions during WWII. Our tour began with the crossing of the bay out to Corrigidor Island by way of a narrow boat called a (BLANK) with pontunes fastened on either side to keep the boat from capsizing in the turbulent waters. After we arrived, a jeepney waited for us to take us on a tour of the island, stopping at all the sites of historical significance.
